Grant Writing and Grant Management

Because conservation often requires more than just a real estate transaction, the Land Conservation Brokerage (LCB) also offers additional services, such as grant writing and grant management, to help conservation organizations meet their goals to acquire or restore land or preserve cultural resources.

Principal Ann Van Leer has crafted numerous successful grant proposals, many over a million dollars, to public and private funding sources for acquisition, stewardship, restoration and preservation of natural and cultural resources.

Successful grants have been secured from the State Water Resources Control Board; U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Section 6 of the Endangered Species Act); the Wildlife Conservation Board; the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Save Our Heritage Organisation; private donors and private foundations, among others.

LCB can also act to help manage grants to make certain grant deadlines are met and proper procedures are followed; proper grant management is essential if future grants are to be secured.
