For four years, LCB has been assisting the San Diego River Conservancy, a State conservancy established by the California Legislature to preserve and enhance the 52-mile San Diego River. LCB’s activities included the development of the Conservancy’s strategic plan and assisting SDRC with implementation of  the plan’s recommendations, including restoration of the river through control of invasive non-native species and planning and development of trails. Stretching from the ocean to the mountains, the San Diego River Watershed offers a variety of rich habitats that epitomize southern California.
