LCB has been working with San Diego State University (SDSU), Field Stations Program, since 2006, helping them secure land to buffer the Santa Margarita Field Station in Riverside and San Diego counties. In 2007, LCB helped SDSU purchase the last in-holding at the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve, a property the university had wanted to purchase for over a decade. The property, which included land and buildings, is now being used as a research facility to house visiting scholars and students.  Willing sellers with land near the reserve should contact Ann Van Leer for more information at ann@landconserve.com.
